1945 on the premises of the Municipal Library in Prague City Gallery opens up a new
perspective on art culture in the former Czechoslovakia. The joint project by curators Anna
Habánová, Ivo Habán and Helena Musilová builds on several years of research by a team of
scholars and juxtaposes the works of established Czech artists such as Karel Čapek, Josef
Sudek and Milada Marešová with those of their Slovak, German and Hungarian-speaking
