Zuzana Pištěková

Zuzana Pištěková has been working at the GHMP as the Manager of Accompanying Programmes in the Department of Communication, Programmes and Editorial Activities since 2017.

She began to build a more significant relationship with art during her studies – via the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Arts Management at the University of Economics in Prague and then via the closely profiled Master’s Degree in Curatorial Studies at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.

In terms of practical activities, she is mainly interested in visual arts and the possibilities of their overlap with other cultural disciplines. Significant projects within GHMP include a long-term collaboration with curator Miloš Vojtěchovský on the Sonic Circuits series of programmes for the exhibition Sounds / Codes / Images – An Acoustic Experiment in Visual Art (2019) and the BioTroja programme (from 2020) – a project taking place at the Troja Château that focused on the theme of sustainability, environment, and the encouragement of the gallery audience to reflect on the global and local environmental situation. Another important experience was the connection with the organisation Tanec Praha and the European project Dancing Museums – The Democracy of Beings (2018-2021), a research project of several European museum and dance organisations.

She enjoys connecting her work at GHMP with her previous or parallel projects and work experiences. These include, most notably, a year-long internship in London at the Czech Centre and volunteer work on the production of the Cortona on the Move international festival of documentary photography in Italy, where she has been a regular visitor since 2013.
