Saturday Art Workshop: Living Photographs and Photo Collages / to the Dagmar Hochová exhibition

During Saturday workshops, we will explore “living photographs”. Visitors will “stage” and paraphrase photographs, interpreting the “stories” depicted in images in the form of comic strips or developing storyboards and experimental texts. Participants will create fictional narratives inspired by photographs they select, engaging in photo collages and photomontages – combining figures and environments from reproductions of photographs, placing them in new contexts, and more. Using large-format projections of the photographs, we will invite visitors to study their compositions, focusing on shifts in context, interpretation of themes and viewing those themes from a contemporary perspective.

The workshops aim to develop visual, social, communication and information literacy, while fostering creative and critical thinking.
