Workshop: Plant Motifs in František Bílek’s Oeuvre / concerning the permanent exhibition in Villa Bílek

Plant motifs in František Bílek’s work are not merely decorative; they carry deeper symbolic meaning. Trees, flowers, leaves and roots can express growth, life, suffering and spiritual transformation. During the workshop, participants will explore Bílek’s use of plant forms, lines, lettering and symbols.

They will then create their own composition inspired by botanical symbolism. They will experiment with a mixed-media technique combining drawing, painting, simple printmaking and hand-drawn lettering. The workshop is suitable also for beginners and emphasises creativity and the connection between natural motifs and artistic expression.
