During this interactive workshop, we will get acquainted with works that are part of the art collection of Prague City Gallery by artists who have approached the theme of self-portraiture in their work (e.g. Pavel Baňka, František Bílek, Vladimír Boudník, Jaroslav Horejc, Blanka Chocholová, Václav Špála, Max Švabinský, and others). During these artistic activities, it will be possible to try out different methods of artistic creation with a focus on the possibilities of combining artistic disciplines (drawing, painting and collage) and on the technique of assemblage using different types of textiles. We will look for new characteristics and symbols within the theme of our own individuality.
This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
