The work of the world-famous photographer Tono Stano will serve as the inspiration for the photography workshops.  The workshop series Figure, Collage and Photogram will focus on the creation of images through the principle of montage. While working on their art, participants will learn about various techniques, including collage, photomontage and assemblage. They will also experiment with art disciplines such as painting, frottage and impression. The resulting image will be further developed using the photogram technique. Workshop participants will learn the basics of Stano’s art, i.e., working with cast shadows and exposing photographic paper using an artificial light source, followed by developing and fixing the resulting black-and-white image. The series of workshops entitled Light, Shadow and Shape will focus on studio photography. When taking pictures, we will use a creative approach to working with light, shadow and composition, suppressing reality and focusing on the abstraction of the portrait and body, lines and stylisation in photography. The creative process will be based on exploration and experimentation, with the adventure of creating art playing a central role throughout.

This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.

This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
