Mgr. Lucie Haškovcová, Ph.D., is the head of the Department of Education and the Specialized Library of the Prague City Gallery (GHMP), where she has been working as an educator since 2005. She has prepared and implemented educational activities for all target groups for more than three hundred exhibitions, is co-founder of the Education Centre and Eco-studio, and is co-author of the GHMP Educational Strategy. She is actively engaged in advocacy (including at the government level) with a view to systematically promote creative and art education. Lucie Haškovcová is the Chair of the Chamber of Educators of the Council of Galleries of the Czech Republic, a member of INSEA (International Society for Education Through Art), the Association of Fine Arts Educators, the KOMPAS coalition (Coalition of Interdisciplinary Pedagogical Associations and Groups) and the uMĚNÍM Platform (Platform for Creative Education). She has collaborated with many important international institutions, organizations, and projects (Czech Centres, Leica Gallery Prague, 4+4 Days in Motion, App Your School, etc.). She graduated in the field of Education and Training (The Faculty of Education of Palacký University) and Czech Language (The Faculty of Arts of Palacký University) and completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts Education of Palacký University. She specializes in interdisciplinary connections between fine arts, literature, typeface and text – as part of her extensive publishing activities.
