This educational video presents still life as an artistic theme, explaining its distinctive characteristics and various approaches. Through a brief overview of world painting, with a particular focus on the GHMP collection, it highlights the many forms that still life can take. The video compares different artistic approaches and also presents the basic principles for preparing a still life for further artistic interpretation. This is followed by an art assignment that works with objects around us and their random or intentional grouping and their subsequent photographic capture (still life can also be rendered through drawing, painting, collage and other techniques). This educational video is suitable for students in the final years of primary school and secondary education, but it can be adapted for other age groups with some modifications.
