Interactive art workshops will respond to a selection of artworks from the collections of Prague City Gallery. The artistic activities will focus primarily on the medium of painting and various artistic processes inspired by the selected artists. We will try our hand at painting with watercolours which we will mix with opaque white. The inspiration for the creative artistic work will be artists whose works represent the technique of watercolour and gouache (e.g., Luděk Marold, Alfons Mucha, Josef Navrátil, Vilém Nowak, Vojtěch Sedláček, Marie Vořechová-Vejvodová, and others). We will try painting on light and dark paper backgrounds. During our artistic practice, we will focus on nature-inspired motifs, landscape scenery and its details (such as sky and water surfaces), as well as still life and drapery.
This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
