This art workshop will be inspired by the work of Dagmar Hochová, who sensitively captured everyday life, significant social events, the atmosphere of “actually existing socialism” and the world of children. Hochová also produced photos for magazines and book publishers. Participants will explore how photographs can depict personal and historical stories (ranging from intimate moments to political changes). They will try their hand at working in a darkroom and creating collages – techniques that combine the play of light with personal expression. The emphasis will be on stories of individuals and their broader context.
This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
