Vladimír Boudník Prize: 20 Years

The Vladimír Boudník Prize, awarded since 1995 for creative contribution to the Czech art of printmaking, is marking twenty years of existence. Its name projects the feelings of profound respect for the legacy of an artist who raised the status of the art of printmaking onto the level of an experimental laboratory, and propelled it to the front of the 1960s avant-garde movement. On the occasion of this anniversary, PCG is staging a retrospective of works by all previous winners of the Prize. The Prize, which is awarded by the Inter-Kontakt-Grafik civic association jointly with the City of Prague, is destined for a living Czech artist with no age limits posed, and cannot be bestowed twice on the same individual.
