This art workshop will focus on the tree as a natural labyrinth of branches, vistas, light and shadow. Attention will be focused primarily on the tree crown, which we will perceive as a living structure. Through watercolour painting, we will explore branching as rhythm and repetition. Participants will experiment with layering colours, transparency and lines, and will attempt to capture the depth of space and the dynamics of movement within the tree’s structure. The tree crown will serve as a metaphor for the search for a path and various possibilities. Basic supplies for watercolour painting will be provided for the creative work. Participants may also bring their own materials. The art workshops will take place in the Eco-studio or, weather permitting, in the garden of Troja Château.
This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
