Jiří Příhoda: Sculptures

Jiří Příhoda (b. 1966) is a sculptor moving on the thin edge between object and architecture. Beyond that, his monumental works are often made with the use of new technologies and materials which the artist adopts from the world of industrial production.

As a result, the original forms and functions of his objects join in engendering a futuristic atmosphere surrounding his output. The exhibition mounted in the interior of Troja Château as well as on its outdoor grounds will feature a combined display of both earlier and new works, linking up with last year’s successful show of Václav Cigler, a project which was the first to take in both of the venue’s distinctive environments: the interior of the Baroque-style mansion, and its spectacular garden.
